Spirited Chocolate - Alcohol-infused bon bons from the west coast's most loved chocolatier.

November 7, 2014

My friend Mary brought me to this wonderful shop in Oregon, known for its handmade chocolates. LILLIE BELLE FARMS makes artistic, decadent creations filled with butter cream, caramels, toasted nuts, and truffles. For this party see their collection of alcohol-infused bon-bons. Below the Martini Cup has Bombay Sapphire Gin in a white chocolate ganache which is also infused with wild Oregon juniper berries. Opposite the Margarita Cup uses Don Julio tequila and fresh key limes in a white chocolate ganache filling dark chocolate cups with a rim of salt.

Dessert Professional Magazine Announces the Inaugural "Top 10 Chocolatiers In North America"

Published October 9, 2009

Chocolatier Jeff Shepherd of Lillie Belle Farms Handmade Chocolates has been chosen as one of the top 10 chocolatiers in the United States in 2009. This award, from Dessert Professional magazine, honors the 10 North American-based chocolatiers whose confectionery craft exemplifies the use of chocolate, and whose contributions have elevated the chocolate industry. The awards ceremony celebrating these talented artisans was held as the main media attraction at the 12th annual New York Chocolate Show on October 30, 2009.

According to Dessert Professional magazine, "each of the 10 has taken a different path to cacao success. Some were pastry chefs, while others have more confection backgrounds. Some are self-taught, while others have been classically trained at culinary academies worldwide. Some chose to start their own companies, while others showcase their talent at companies—both large and small—lucky enough to have them. All are valuable ambassadors promoting one of the world's most popular foodstuffs—chocolate."
